DΞCAPINATION
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-04-14
1. Who we are
Dead Labs ("we," "us") operates decapination.xyz. This policy describes how we handle personal information when you use our site and related services (the "Site"). Use of the Site is also governed by our Terms of Service.
2. Information we collect
The categories below depend on how you use the Site. We aim to collect only what is reasonably needed for the purposes described.
- Technical and usage data: IP address, device and browser type, general location derived from IP, pages viewed, and timestamps. Our hosting provider (Vercel) processes requests and may log similar technical data in server or CDN logs.
- Analytics: We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to measure traffic and performance. We use Loglib (@loglib/tracker, site identifier "decapination") for product analytics. These tools typically process aggregated or pseudonymous usage data.
- Error monitoring and session replay: We use Sentry (@sentry/nextjs) with performance tracing (see tracesSampleRate in our client configuration). Session Replay may record visual reproductions of sessions; sampling is set in our Sentry client config (replaysOnErrorSampleRate, replaysSessionSampleRate). Replay data may include page URLs, interactions, and on-screen content. We configure Sentry to reduce exposure of sensitive data where possible; review Sentry’s privacy controls for masking and blocking as traffic grows.
- Future account and commerce data: If we add accounts, checkout, or email lists, we may collect identifiers (such as email), order details (shipping name and address, phone), and payment-related information. Payment card data is typically processed only by our payment processor (for example, Stripe); we generally do not store full card numbers on our servers.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to operate and improve the Site, measure performance, secure our services, fix errors, comply with law, and (with consent where required) send marketing. Order-related data is used to fulfill purchases and communicate about transactions.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on appropriate bases such as: performance of a contract (for example, fulfilling an order); legitimate interests (security, analytics, service improvement) balanced against your rights; consent where required (for example, certain cookies or marketing); and legal obligation where applicable.
7. International transfers
If you access the Site from outside the country where we operate servers, your information may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other mechanisms recognized under applicable law.
8. Retention
We retain information for as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution requirements. Analytics and logs may be retained for shorter periods per vendor defaults unless a longer period is required.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA. To exercise rights, contact us at the email below; we may verify your request.
10. Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe we have done so in error.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
